The 2019 Spanish Model UN was held February 22nd at the National Hispanic Cultural Center campus in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Participants included students and faculty from Albuquerque High School, Bosque School, Capital High School, Hope Christian School, Sandia High School, Sandia Prep School, Tierra Encantada, and West Mesa.

The keynote speaker was David Lindwall, who is at once a first-year MA student in Latin American Studies at UNM and a retired Foreign Service Officer who served for 33 years in the State Department at postings in Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Haiti, Iraq, Afghanistan, Spain and Sweden, as well as postings in Washington.
